RX Type Ring Joint Gaskets form a seal between RTJ flanges by deforming under high pressures. Accordingly, RTJ Gaskets must be made from material softer than the mating flanges.

RX Gaskets are a pressure-energized adaptation of the standard R Type RTJ and are manufactured to fit the same groove design. Due to its pressure-energized design, the seal of an RX Ring Joint Gasket improves as the internal pressure of the assembly increases. These gaskets are used in pressures up to 1000 bar.

Establish a Metal-to-Metal Seal with RX Type Ring Joint Gaskets

RX Type Ring Joint Gaskets are finished with a smooth facing surface to provide an optimal metal-to-metal seal. RX Type Ring Joint Gaskets provide a high integrity, high temperature seal and are widely used in the petrochemical, oil and gas industries.

RX Type Ring Joint Gaskets are available in oval and octagonal profiles to accommodate different flanges. Each type has a pitch diameter identical to that of its corresponding flange groove.

This gasket type has applications in hydrocarbon processing, refining, gas/power generation, and chemical processing activities. RX Type Ring Joint Gaskets cope extremely well with high pressures, heavy weight loads and vibration, making them ideally suited for use in blowout preventer (BOP) stacks.

RX Ring Joint Gaskets that have been torqued to establish a metal-to-metal seal should not be reused once removed.
